Tuesday

and so

it is 2010 (!) and what with all of the review-type posts decorating blogs i was feeling a little left out.
so without further ado here is
what i did in 2009:

my resolution was to simplify, share [a smile, love, the Gospel, backstreet pride, etc.] and be more patient

and a few other things happened too

i...

lost bob but got bev

moved out [again] and this time i loved it because
our apartment was homey and it was time to move on

worked two jobs
[please, 2010 do not make me do that]

changed my major again.. and so far i've stuck with it, thank you

finally started to feel comfortable about my hair

discovered my great love, picnik

ravished summer

created things for a farmer's market

had a life changing surgery

let go

started the c jump collection, still in progress

became a tennis player, yo

saw HARRY, of course

absolutely lusted lake powell

became acquainted with swiftys

moved into a lovely new apartment, (which led to some pretty fancy happenings, see the last one on the list)

had a royal meltdown

wrote one of my very favorite poems to date

enjoyed the boys

hiked

met sweet gino

got my first real christmas tree

met the boy i like

and then fell in love with him.
[that was an announcement of sorts.. there's no link because i haven't yet written about it]
and that is that.

thanks and thanks! i do and i am happy for me too.

love after love

The time will come when, with elation,
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror,
and each will smile at the other's welcome,
and say
sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger
who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread.
Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you all your life...

Take down the love
letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs,
the desperate notes, peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit.
Feast on your life.

~Derek Walcott

bring it on back

and i am telling you..
