baby you're a firework

we had the perfect little firework celebration last night at our house. i'm pretty obsessed with the smell of fireworks. but i've always been too scared to light them. i'm even scared of sparklers! on the downside, i was so preoccupied with getting pictures of everyone/thing that i didn't even remember to draw my name with my sparkler. boo. the best part of the night? driving to pick up my sister and seeing the now legal air fireworks popping up all around town. i felt connected to everyone celebrating independence day.

-------------------------------------------
we spent the long weekend at my grandpa's cabin, pictures to come.
we are so busy with school and work right now! it's hard to remember to blog.
ginny is getting fixed this week. tomorrow, actually. i'm awfully worried.
um. harry is next week. that is not okay. i'm pretty sure i haven't written about the moviethon yet..

love after love

The time will come when, with elation,
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror,
and each will smile at the other's welcome,
and say
sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger
who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread.
Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you all your life...

Take down the love
letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs,
the desperate notes, peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit.
Feast on your life.
