Thursday

I want a field day too.

Lake Powell was nice. It rained for three of the days we were there and still I ended up with a shining sunburn.
We spent a lot of time dancing on the red rock. Reading. Consuming.
I took some beautiful pictures of my sisters against the sun, and I'll post those later today.
I watched my dad water ski and my mom tube. I longed for the water!
[Still unable to submerge.]
There might have been a family brawl our last day there.
Sleeping under the stars makes me happy. Doesn't it also make you think deeply?

I forced myself to work a 12 hour day yesterday, and it was hard.
I laugh at people.. a lot.

My plans for now are to start watching documentaries, find a happy book (oh harry I just want you), and put away all of my clean clothes.
Oh and start walking at night, just when the light is dreamy.

love after love

The time will come when, with elation,
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror,
and each will smile at the other's welcome,
and say
sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger
who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread.
Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you all your life...

Take down the love
letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs,
the desperate notes, peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit.
Feast on your life.
