Saturday

the mac.

Last night Bailey [who is apparently camera-shy] and I discussed the nuances of missions, love, and our future plans over eggplant parmigiana and ganache chocolate cheesecake [They took dessert ravioli off their menu due to the Salmonella incident. The shame.] at Macaroni Grill.
It pays off to have a roomie that hostesses there so we don't have to wait to be seated.

And in case you were wondering how my hair sprouted that fast, rest assured I'm rocking the wig. I was trying to catch the eye of a certain waiter, alright?!

You should give us a try at carrabbas. i promise. sooo much better. (ive worked at both, so i can speak with good conscience)

I have only eaten at carrabbas twice. Once on a date, and once when my mother paid.

I see a trend.

A quick google search reveals that you were not (as I hoped) suggesting that carrabbas has dessert ravioli.

indeed it does not. Carrabbas does, however, have creme brulee, which pretty much drop kicks desert ravioli in its chocolaty, nut filled chest.

Then I must try it.

come in mon-wed this week after 4 and eat one, and I'll create you a free smoothie with which you may wash it down. Just say "I want to sit in Fish's section," and the magic will happen.

love after love

The time will come when, with elation,
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror,
and each will smile at the other's welcome,
and say
sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger
who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread.
Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you all your life...

Take down the love
letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs,
the desperate notes, peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit.
Feast on your life.
