Two days ago I made this huge, great post. Then something went wrong and I deleted it as I was trying to post it.

So now, I am going to give you a quote from an article by Wayne Pacelle from the Humane Society. [Is he married? Can I marry him?]

The article talks about the trial that started yesterday. The trial between the Elephants and the Ringling Bro's Circus. I'm really excited about this, because for quite some time [probably every since I read Water for Elephants] I have been just plain MAD about the circus.

Or any event that demoralizes/harms/misuses animals for human entertainment.

I think the circus was here in Utah at the end of January, but I can't find much info on it.

Anyways. Here you go:
"Tomorrow, after a dizzying array of delays and obstructionist tactics that have persisted for more than eight years, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus will finally stand trial in federal district court in D.C. over charges that the world’s most famous circus cruelly mistreats the endangered Asian elephants in its care, in violation of the Endangered Species Act. HSUS affiliate The Fund for Animals brought this groundbreaking lawsuit in 2000, along with the ASPCA, Animal Welfare Institute, Born Free USA united with Animal Protection Institute, and former Ringling Bros. employee Tom Rider. The trial is anticipated to play out over three weeks."
