The wig is a dark brown synthetic. The strands look and feel like human hair, yet the wig doesn't need to be styled. In fact, the wig cannot be styled with any heated tools because it will melt the plastics it is made of. Synthetic material holds "memory", which means that even after washing, it will retain the style it was made with. The wig will need to be washed about every 10 wears or whenever you feel it is necessary. To wash, take it to a wig shop to have it professionally done, or buy wig shampoo and wash it yourself.The wig is about twenty inches long from the top of the head. The bangs are about five inches long from the top of the head. Both can be trimmed by you or a professional stylist.
The wig will need to be brushed, especially at the nape of the neck where it tends to knot up as wigs do. I used a wide tooth comb and placed the wig over one knee to comb through the knots. You will want to be a little gentle with it so you don't pull out too much hair, although some hair coming out when wearing and combing is to be expected and is normal. I combed the wig out about every 3 times I wore it.
I purchased this wig from Diane's Wig Shop in Orem after my friends and I shaved my head. I love the length and the style and got many compliments when wearing it. My friends actually told me it was prettier than my real hair! :/ Many people thought I had just gotten extensions, because the wig looks so real. Needless to say, I have become braver and am proud to sport my shaved head! I have no need for the wig now. Although I'm sad to say goodbye, I know somebody will love wearing this hair! It made me feel beautiful.
