Sunday

We have gathered to be happy again.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen. I'm coming to you straight out of my living room whilst I watch the acclaimed LDS Christmas Devotional.
Hold on. Prayer.
[My title is taken from the prayer. I liked it.]
Oh how I love Christmas, and the spirit. And my Savior. And my religion. And the restored church.
If you are looking, if you are searching, and even if you aren't..
this is for you.

..........

Okay, so now I will tell you my stories.
Friday at work, during our staff meeting, a Utah County sheriff knocked on the door and informed us that there had been a bomb threat in our building. The bomber apparently gave us an hour to evacuate, and evacuate we did. It was rather weird. I'm pretty sure my work is still there, since I haven't heard otherwise. [Is this a good thing? bahhaha.] It was scary and kind of funny [I mean, seriously??] and I got the entire day off [er.. without pay]

I'll write about Christmas Around the World later... perhaps Wednesday so I can feature a few of the dances I liked.

In other news, I've decided to discontinue Monday Map Out's because I'm pretty sure they aren't that interesting.

Can I say Merry Christmas yet?

Merry merry!

That is quite hilarious.

love after love

The time will come when, with elation,
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror,
and each will smile at the other's welcome,
and say
sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger
who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread.
Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you all your life...

Take down the love
letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs,
the desperate notes, peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit.
Feast on your life.

~Derek Walcott
