Wednesday

so here I am..

studying for my math test in the library.
i missed philosophy at noon.
institute starts in 15 minutes.
after that, history.
i should take my math test today.
i should take my history test today.
i'm having a hard time studying my math. the library is fluttering with life: talking, food, music, flashing tv screens, the sounds of books.
i really just want to go to institute, and then go to history, and then go home.
i want to put my laundry away, watch house, go running.
i want to read blogs.
and magazines.
i should go to institute, then go to history, then come back to the library and study my math until i understand it well enough to take the test, which i would then take [at about 4 o'clock] and then back to the library again to study for history, to take the test. [at about 6 o'clock.]
i'd get home around 7.
i could then go running, put my laundry away, read some blogs.

i'm just such a slacker.
i know my tests are due until tomorrow.
so i can put them off.
which includes putting my studying off.
and i have to work all day tomorrow, so i'd basically have no time to study.

or.. i could..
just wing both tests.
get horrible scores.
that would affect my grades, but not enough to not be redeemable with extra credit.

so either wing them today.
wing them tomorrow.
study today, take them today.
study today, take them tomorrow.
study tomorrow, take them tomorrow. [ok this one is really not possible.]
so pretty much, i have to study today.
so
now what?

love after love

The time will come when, with elation,
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror,
and each will smile at the other's welcome,
and say
sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger
who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread.
Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you all your life...

Take down the love
letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs,
the desperate notes, peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit.
Feast on your life.
