Monday

Monday Map Out - Oct. 27th-31st

I like to map out my week every time it begins.

Sunday night, I want to organize my perspective, plan my goals, review the happenings of last week.

I'll call it the Monday Map Out.

It's a day late this time. (And a few dollars short!)

Last week:
I worked out 4 times, I was better about implementing more veggies into my diet. My focus was to be a better driver by just driving. Not listening to the radio all week was harder than I thought, mostly because it is such a habit to flip on the radio. Sometimes I forgot and had been listening for a good 15 minutes before I noticed. It was really good for me to have some quiet to actually think about and remember everything I was doing. The other really good thing that actually helped me be a much better driver was not using my phone at all. Not texting, mostly. I realized just how distracted I really am when I drive. After focusing on this, I am more aware of my driving habits and I plan to improve them.

Happening this week:

Monday 10/27- Doctor appointment, FHE.

Tuesday 10/28- Elder Uchdtdorf speaking at UVU. Family ward Halloween party.

Wednesday 10/29- Day off from school!

Thursday 10/30-Shay's Birthday! Graduate school fair. Singles ward Halloween party.

Friday 10/31-HALLOWEEN.

Goals:
1. Workout 4 times.
2. Be more pleasant. Make an effort to be more patient with family, to be less ornery/on edge, to do nice things for strangers, and to constantly have a smile on my face.
3. READ MY SCRIPTURES. EVERY NIGHT.

Focus:
Invite the spirit and brighten the places I go.

Don't forget to:
  • Get Shay a little something.
  • Attend the Graduate Fair.
  • Read the scriptures.
  • Buy a remote so you don't miss House on Tuesday night.
  • Fix computer.
  • Be frugal.
  • Do your laundry.
  • Say your prayers.
  • Encourage family scripture/prayer.
  • Do something nice for each family member before Sunday.
  • Pick up the girls from school on Wednesday.

Happy Monday!
(What a juxtaposition. Is that the correct word? It sounded right.. but I'm pretty sure it isn't. Oh well.)

love after love

The time will come when, with elation,
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror,
and each will smile at the other's welcome,
and say
sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger
who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread.
Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you all your life...

Take down the love
letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs,
the desperate notes, peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit.
Feast on your life.
