Tuesday

now walk it out.

My new job is fun. I'm a receptionist and I help people. All of my coworkers are very nice, and most of them are hugely entertaining. As are our clients. I work every morning from 5:30-10:30. I know, right? It's a little rough, but overall rewarding.
I get 25 hours a week yet I'm DONE with work at 10:30-- that's when my sister wakes up for the day.
It will work well with school, which I'm so excited to start. I've been off for a year. It was nice, but it wasn't purposeful.
I'm majoring in Biology. I'm trying to be firm minded about this decision, because I think that maybe my indecisiveness comes from me allowing myself to leave options open in my head.
I want to be a vet. Not the nurse, not the technician, and not another receptionist. I wanna be the D to the R.
It will be intense and fun. Veterinary school is harder to get into than Medical School. nom nom nom.

man, you are an incredible writer. i hope you never quit...i can sit here and read your blogs all day!

love after love

The time will come when, with elation,
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror,
and each will smile at the other's welcome,
and say
sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger
who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread.
Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you all your life...

Take down the love
letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs,
the desperate notes, peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit.
Feast on your life.
